Community Food Garden Project

The Community Food Garden project has been operating out of Ararat Neighbourhood House since August 2015.

The project was initially established by a qualified Permaculture designer and teacher, and it continues to be managed by our wonderful team of volunteers.

Members of the local community are encouraged to visit and contribute to the garden, and are also able pick from the produce available. With a range of fruits, vegetables and edible flowers, all crops are grown organically, are herbicide and pesticide free, making them both a popular and healthier option for the table.

The Community Food Garden project has been a huge success which continues to evolve over time. Seasonal changes bring great variety in the produce available to the local community.
