Ararat Neighbourhood House is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing a friendly, welcoming environment for members of the local community and surrounds. Operating since 1979, Ararat Neighbourhood House has been here for you. Proudly designing and providing innovative programs, services and activities which directly address the ever-changing, identified needs of our local community.

Ararat Neighbourhood House is a Public Institution which has the charitable purpose of advancing social and public welfare by;

a. Advancing mental health and preventing social isolation

b. Providing a physical location for people to where it supports individuals to undertake activities, or work on projects, in the company of others.

About Us

Ararat Neighbourhood House is governed by a volunteer governance committee. Our Governance Committee is made up of community members and representatives from local business.

We partner with local service providers to give access to affordable, diverse programs that meet the needs of personal, social and professional development.

We provide support to our local community via a range of initiatives. From providing food to a place to socialise or find important resources. Explore what ANH has to offer.

ANH Membership

Thinking of giving back to your local community?

Would you be interested in becoming a member of Ararat Neighbourhood House?

Membership is open to all residents of the Ararat Rural City’s LGA and there is a $0 membership fee. As a member you can help shape ANH and vote on our board of directors. We also encourage our members to get involved in our initiatives and community events. Volunteering is optional, but even a couple of hours a month can really help!
